Ayodhya & Kashi (Varanasi)

Ayodhya and Kashi, two of India’s most sacred cities, are steeped in history, spirituality, and culture. Ayodhya, located on the banks of the Sarayu River in Uttar Pradesh, is revered as the birthplace of Lord Rama and holds immense significance in Hindu mythology. The city is dotted with ancient temples, ghats, and the iconic Ram Janmabhoomi, drawing pilgrims and tourists alike. Kashi, also known as Varanasi, is one of the oldest living cities in the world, situated along the holy Ganges River.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ayodhya

  • Arrive in Ayodhya
  • Check-in at hotel and freshen up.
  • Have a traditional North Indian breakfast.
  • Visit Ram Janmabhoomi – birthplace of Lord Ram.
  • Explore Hanuman Garhi – the famous Hanuman temple with a great view of the city.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Visit Kanak Bhawan – beautiful palace-temple dedicated to Ram and Sita.
  • Visit Sita Ki Rasoi and Treta Ke Thakur.
  • Walk along the Saryu River ghats.
  • Attend Aarti at Saryu Ghat during sunset.

  • Travel to Varanasi (Kashi) – approx 5–6 hours by car/train.
  • Check-in at hotel in Varanasi.
  • Relax and explore nearby markets like Godowlia.
  • Optional: Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Day 3: Varanasi Sightseeing

  • Take Ganga boat ride at sunrise – see the ghats, rituals, and temples from the river.
  • Visit Manikarnika Ghat and Assi Ghat.
  • Explore Kashi Vishwanath Temple – one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
  • Visit Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple.
  • Walk through old alleys of Varanasi to see traditional silk weaving..
  • Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Visit Banaras Hindu University & Durga Temple.
  • Evening free to shop in Thatheri Bazaar or Godowlia for silk sarees and handicrafts.
  • Optional: Sound and light show at Ramnagar Fort.
