Manali is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Himachal Pradesh, nestled in the mountains of the Kullu Valley. With its serene landscapes, adventurous activities, and cool weather, it’s an ideal getaway for both relaxation and exploration

Here's a 5-day Manali tour itinerary to help you experience the best of this Himalayan paradise:

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Manali

  • If you’re traveling by bus or private vehicle, you’ll arrive in Manali after a scenic journey through the mountains. If you're coming by train, you can take a train to Kullu or Chandigarh and then drive to Manali.
  • Check-in to your hotel: Once you arrive, check-in to your hotel or resort and freshen up.
  • Head to Mall Road, the bustling heart of Manali. It’s lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants where you can enjoy shopping for souvenirs, woolens, and local handicrafts.
  • Hadimba Temple: After strolling through the Mall Road, visit the Hadimba Temple, a beautiful wooden structure surrounded by cedar trees. The temple is dedicated to Hadimba, a character from the Mahabharata.
  • Van Vihar: Take a peaceful walk in Van Vihar, a small park near the Mall Road with tall deodar trees.
  • Overnight Stay: Rest and enjoy the evening at your hotel in Manali.

Day 2: Manali Sightseeing

Start your day with a visit to Solang Valley, just 14 km from Manali. Known for its adventure activities, you can indulge in paragliding, skiing, snowboarding, ATV rides, and horse riding. If you visit during the winter months, the valley is blanketed with snow, making it perfect for winter sports. Rohtang Pass (Seasonal): If you're visiting between May and November, make sure to take a trip to Rohtang Pass (about 51 km from Manali). It’s famous for its stunning snow-capped mountains and the chance to enjoy snow-related activities. Note: Rohtang Pass requires a permit to access, so it's a good idea to arrange it in advance. Gulaba: If you don’t want to go to Rohtang Pass or if it's closed, Gulaba is an excellent alternative. It's a quieter spot with beautiful views and plenty of snow (in winters). Evening at Mall Road: After an adventurous day, return to Manali and relax with a cup of coffee or some local food on Mall Road. Overnight Stay: Stay in Manali.

Day 3: Day Trip to Naggar and Art & Culture

Naggar (30 km from Manali): After breakfast, drive to Naggar, a beautiful small town famous for its Naggar Castle. The castle, with its beautiful wooden architecture, offers panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Roerich Art Gallery: Visit the Roerich Art Gallery in Naggar, which houses the works of Russian painter Nicholas Roerich and gives insight into the culture and natural beauty of the region.

Chandrakhani Pass Trek: If you're a nature enthusiast, you can start a short Chandrakhani Pass trek from Naggar. It offers beautiful views of the Kullu and Parvati valleys. Return to Manali: In the evening, return to Manali and enjoy some leisure time on Mall Road. You could also relax at your hotel or enjoy a spa treatment if your hotel offers it. Overnight Stay: Stay in Manali.

Day 4: Manali to Kullu and Manikaran

Kullu Valley (40 km from Manali): After breakfast, drive towards Kullu, known for its scenic beauty and temples. Kullu is famous for its apple orchards and Kullu Dussehra festival. Visit Raghunath Temple and explore the local markets where you can buy Kullu shawls and handicrafts. Manikaran (85 km from Manali): Continue your journey to Manikaran, famous for its hot springs and Gurudwara. Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara is a holy site for Sikhs and Hindus alike. You can take a dip in the hot sulfur springs, which are believed to have healing properties. Explore the Parvati River and enjoy the peaceful, spiritual atmosphere of the place. Return to Manali: After spending time at Manikaran, head back to Manali for the night. Overnight Stay: Stay in Manali

Day 5: Departure from Manali

Leisure Day: On your last day in Manali, relax and take a stroll around the town. You can shop for souvenirs like woolen shawls, handicrafts, and local spices. If time permits, you can also visit Tibetan Monastery in Manali to experience the Buddhist culture and architecture. Departure: After an enjoyable trip, it’s time to head back to your departure point (bus station, airport, or taxi).

Day 7: Last Day Manali

Morning at leisure: Agar flight ya bus late hai, to thoda local sightseeing ya hotel me relax kar sakte hain. Breakfast at hotel Checkout & packing: Apne luggage ready karein. Transfer to airport / bus station: Manali se onward journey ke liye transfer. Trip ends: Warm goodbyes aur memories ke saath departure. Last-minute photos: Trip ke yaadgar pal capture karein before departure.
